Boardroom Clock

8.17.2013

Pet-peeve: People who completely disregard boardroom scheduling etiquette and squat in a booked room. Not only is this inconvenient over the course of a year but it can equate to a large amount of wasted money as legitimately scheduled users search the office for another available room.

Digital Coffee Table

8.17.2013

An oak coffee table I built that has an embedded recycled 22" LCD panel connected to a Raspberry Pi, bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Easy access to web based email and Google for looking up those interesting keywords that you hear on some TV programs.

Google+ Hangouts ON-AIR Lamp

Fed up of being interrupted while on global video conferences I hacked together an on-air lamp to as a do-not-disturb icon. Something like this

VFD Clock

8.17.2013

The VFD Clock is a digital clock that I built that uses an old Russian vacuum fluorescent tube display (circa 1960s) in lieu of LED or LCD. This is what a naked VFD tube looks like:

Makey Makey Tetris

8.17.2013

A Friday afternoon fun game for the office created in two hours. Tetris was projected on the big screen and the game controller was 4 individual people. The player had to high-five one of the people to initiate a left, right, flip or down action. The physical human-to-human contact triggered the action on the big screen.

Micro Service Archicture

8.17.2013

Developed and refined over the past 10-15 years and based on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) it is my approach to web site and web app architecture. It allows for 100% separation between browser code and server code and has been successfully applied to all .*p tag languages including .ASP, .PHP, .JSP, .ASPX. allowing web developer/designers maximum creative freedom to work unconstrained in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Power In G

8.17.2013

Infiniti Performance in G was a TV spot produced in December of 2012 and aired in early 2013. It depicted the new model G sitting on a dynamometer that was mysteriously connected to 20 Bose speakers. As the vehicle accelerated it appeared to direct a musical composition in real-time that played through each successive speaker. The entire affect could have been achieved in post-production but our ECD wanted to be true to the concept and actually have the car direct the music.
